Seasons 1-8 are when shippers place bids on two shipments via the uShip platform using a reverse auction model. Bids include comments on the potential risks and costs along with the motivations, and abilities. If the deadline is reached for an auction, the job will be awarded to the bidder who has the lowest bid. The client's discretion however, it might be given to bidders with a higher average feedback rating than past clients. Feedback ratings are used to break any bonds for the lowest bid. Season 9 is when shippers are receiving their loads through a shipping agent. The bidding process isn’t documented. Shippers load their cargo and try to get it delivered in good order by the deadline set by the client or receiver. Once the goods have been delivered, the feedback ratings are displayed from clients. The episode ends with each shipper's earnings and expenses. The bid amount is subtracted in order to calculate the overall profit and loss. Sometimes, shippers will offer to transport additional loads on the same journey. The additional amount is added into their total. In some cases, the shipper will be incapable of completing a task due to concerns regarding weight or size of the load, or road safety. On occasion, one shipper will enlist the services of a different person to assist in the completion of the task. The shippers then have to decide which way to divide the profits. Seasons 1-8 are filled with hilarious criticisms from other shippers.
