April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US, is among a select group of women who have had medals won in more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is taking part for the very first time in Tokyo's Olympics and will attempt to win her third gold medal. More than that though Ross hopes to win the first Olympic gold. The next opportunity she gets to do so at the age of 39. Her optimism is that she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we perform at our very best or even if we do well, I believe we can get that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. Also, it's an issue of luck. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents and sister were residents in the area. She went on to compete in many sports at Newport Harbor High School. She competed in basketball and the track as well as her indoor volleyball exploits as a prep athlete. She was definitely the best in the game of indoor volleyball. When she played in her college volleyball season as per her college biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle blocker and setter. The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 for her achievements. In 2000, she received an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross and Klineman formed their relationship in 2017 however, Ross has been a beach star for years before. In fact, she won several major championships while playing using two partners, among them an icon of volleyball. The pair teamed together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and also was Klineman's coach. Kessy and Ross were strong on the international arena, taking home the world championship in 2009 as a team. They took home a Silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team and Kerri Jennings won the gold. As fate would have it Ross was Walsh Jennings' new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics in 2016. Following high school, and for a few many years before hitting the sand as a pro Ross was a ball with the Trojans of USC as an NCAA. The time she spent at USC was impressive. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 freshman of the year when she was a teen freshman. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans get to their first Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she suffered a tremendous personal loss but still managed to make it back as an All-American. In the two years she played for the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them win consecutive championships. Individually she had cemented herself as an all-time legend having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross was a major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to see Ross achieve beach volleyball's top levels. Ross's mom died from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. Ross holds her mother dear. Margie is a beach lover and in daily life, inspires her.
