Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on January. 19. 1946 to a low-income family, with twelve kids later on, realized early that she was able to escape her hardships through a vivid imagination. Before she was able to write and read, she was making up her own music. In the year she turned 8, she got the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. The same year she released her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. While she was in school, she had already established herself on the local scene. But her dream was to to perform at a much greater scale. She relocated to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on his television show that was syndicated. Parton took the job in 1966, was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Following their breakup, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at the top spot at No. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" reached the No.
